invoice44 started as a tool for market traders, POS agents and tiny businesses in West Africa who needed a real, branded receipt without paying for software, learning accounting jargon, or signing up for anything. It's grown into a free receipt and invoice maker used globally — but the mission is unchanged.
What invoice44 is
invoice44 is a free, browser-based receipt and invoice maker. It runs entirely in your browser, works offline once loaded, and never sends your data to a server. You open it, type in your business name, add your items, and download a clean branded receipt as PDF, PNG, JPEG, or Word — or print it directly, or share it to WhatsApp.
There are no accounts, no subscriptions, no credit card forms, and no trial expirations. The app is supported by a small number of ads.
Why we built it
Most invoicing software is built for accountants and venture-funded startups. It assumes you have a laptop, fast internet, a bank account that integrates with Stripe, and the patience to configure tax tables before you can print a single receipt.
That's not most of the world. A market trader in Lagos, a hairdresser in Accra, a POS agent in Nairobi, a freelance graphic designer in Manila — they all need the same thing: a clean, professional receipt with their logo on it, in under a minute, on their phone, even when the signal drops.
invoice44 is for them.
How we make money
invoice44 displays a small number of ads through the Adsterra ad network. That's it. We don't sell your data — we couldn't if we wanted to, because we don't have it. Receipts you create live in your browser. We never see them.

Who's behind it
invoice44 is built and maintained by a small independent team focused on practical tools for small businesses in emerging markets. We're not VC-backed, we're not trying to become a unicorn, and we're not going to pivot into something else. The goal is to keep invoice44 fast, free, and useful — forever.
