Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 May 2026
These terms cover your use of the invoice44 website and app. Short, plain, no traps.
1. The service
invoice44 (the "Service") is a free, browser-based tool for creating receipts, invoices and similar business documents. The Service is provided "as is", on a best-effort basis, with no warranty of fitness for any specific purpose.
2. Your account and data
There is no account. Anything you type into the Service stays on your device. You are solely responsible for backing up, exporting, or printing the receipts and documents you create.
3. Acceptable use
You may use invoice44 for any lawful business or personal purpose, including for commercial invoicing. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading or unlawful documents (fake receipts to deceive third parties, fake invoices to defraud anyone, etc.).
- Attempt to interfere with the Service, its hosting, or the experience of other users.
- Reverse-engineer the Service to clone or rebrand it commercially without permission.
Documents you create are yours. Using them lawfully is your responsibility.
4. Ownership
The invoice44 name, logo, design system, code, and brand are owned by the invoice44 project. The receipts, invoices, logos and content you create using the Service belong to you.
5. Ads
The Service is funded by ads displayed through the Adsterra network. You agree that ads may be shown alongside the app and on associated pages. We do not control specific ad creatives served by the network.
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, network issues, or other reasons outside our control. As a Progressive Web App, invoice44 will continue to function offline after your first visit even if the site is temporarily down.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, invoice44 is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost documents, missed payments, tax disputes, or any business loss.
You are responsible for ensuring that any document you create complies with the tax, invoicing and consumer laws of your jurisdiction.
8. Changes
These terms may change over time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
