How do architects bill by RIBA stages?
Add a line per completed work stage with the agreed fee, naming the stage clearly. Bill at each milestone rather than waiting until the project ends.
Percentage of cost or fixed fee?
A percentage scales with the build cost and is common on larger projects; fixed fees suit clearly-scoped work. invoice44 supports either — both on the same invoice if needed.
How do I bill changes outside scope?
Bill out-of-scope variations hourly with a short description (e.g. "Client-instructed change — 4 hrs") so the client sees they are extra to the agreed fee.
Can I pass through consultant fees?
