Should I take a non-refundable deposit?
Yes — it covers cancellations and stock. State the policy clearly in your terms and mark the deposit as non-refundable on the invoice.
How do I bill delivery?
Add a "Delivery" line by distance or as a flat fee, kept separate from the cake itself.
Can I bill for tastings?
Yes — add a "Tasting box" or "Wedding tasting" line. Some bakers offset this against the final invoice if the booking goes ahead.
